About FVDES Johannes Czaia Position: FVDES Technician I am the newest addition to the technical support team at FVDES. Originally from (West) Germany I finally moved to Canada in April 2006. Having visited the Fraser Valley for the past 26 years each summer, I decided to reduce the commute to my favorite place on earth by 9 hours. I am looking forward to becoming a Canadian citizen next year, and finally be able to hum the Canadian anthem with the rest of you. I have a strong history supporting Microsoft Windows, from the early Windows 3.11 to Windows “oh dear” Vista, including all the server flavors. Prior to joining FVDES tech department I worked as a Network Administrator and technical support technician for Stream International, Chilliwack, supporting 2200+ PCs and users. Before immigrating to Canada, I worked for The University of Essen (Germany) for about 15 years in the same field, working rather successfully free-lance as a database programmer at the same time. Before that, I witnessed the dawn of the computing era wasting my allowance on Apple II, C64, Atari ST, Amiga, etc computer. Yes, I am that old. Currently, I am studying for the Microsoft MCSA and the Linux Professional Institute (LPI) certificates, having obtained the CompTIA A+ and Network+ on arrival in Canada. Out of the technical support environment, my interests include traveling with my wife, hiking and, well, computer technology and computer games, Team Fortress 2 is my special interest at the moment. If you require any assistance with the FVDES CoNNect program, please do not hesitate to contact me via phone or email. « Back |
