About FVDES Judy Wall My name is Judy Wall. I teach Grade 6 and Learning Assistance at Fraser Valley Distance Education. I am very pleased to be a part of the teaching team and I will do my best to serve our students needs. Inspired to become a teacher, I started my post secondary education at Fraser Valley College. I continued my education and then completed my teacher training at SFU. In 1981, I started my teaching career. My first job was at Yarrow Elementary: Grade Four. Determined to complete my studies, I completed my Bachelor of Education Degree in 1986. During my 25 years of teaching, my assignments have included grade two to grade six and learning assistance. In 2000, I completed a SFU Diploma on Inclusive Learning Environments. As a child, I grew up in the Fraser Valley and as an adult, I chose to live and raise my family in the Fraser Valley. I have two children. They have both graduated from the Chilliwack school system. At the present time, my husband and I live on a small hobby farm in Sardis. My current hobbies are golfing in the summer and downhill skiing in the winter. Unfortunately there is not enough time in a day to pursue my other interests diligently. However, I do enjoy hiking, camping, silversmithing and gardening. My constant challenge is finding the time and energy to strive for fitness. « Back |
