I believe that learning occurs in many forms and in many forums. As use of the Internet and online learning become more prevalent, being comfortable with new media and new learning styles is increasingly important. I am therefore excited to be part of a program that encourages students to be in step with the world learning community.
Education: I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts through Langara College and Concordia University, and I completed my Bachelor of Education at UBC.
Teaching: I have taught Art 10, 11 & 12, Ceramics 11 & 12, Photography 11 & 12, Yearbook, Planning 10 and Comparative Civilizations 12…and I love it!
Travel: I have taken boats, trains, Collectivos, busses, trucks, planes, taxis, TukTuks, ferries, motorbikes, bicycles, SawngThaws and have even been carried up a ladder! I love meeting people from all over the world and I want to go everywhere.
Creativity: I try to communicate in as many ways as possible and in as many mediums as possible.
Family: I was born in Montreal and raised in Vancouver. I spent my childhood exploring the Gulf Islands and visiting relatives in France.
Art: I learn about and process the world I live in through my art. I paint my postcards while traveling. I paint portraits of family and even of people I have just met. I keep a visual journal and love making my own wrapping paper.
I look forward to working with you at FVDES.
