Ken Nachtigal

Before entering the teaching profession, I graduated from the Victoria Conservatory of Music with a degree in performance. I’ve been playing the cello for over 30 years and have performed with professional orchestras. Being involved in music lead me into teaching as I have taught the cello to people of all ages. After a number of years of pursuing a career as a musician, I completed my teacher training at Simon Fraser University. I have taught music from K-6 and have been a classroom teacher from grades 2-5. I presently teach grade 4 at Fraser Valley Distance Education School. There have been many changes in Distance Education over the past years and I have enjoyed seeing the online alternatives offered by our school.
