The Grade Five Distance Education Program consists of the following
subjects: Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies,
French, Fine Arts, Physical Education/Daily Physical Activity and
Health and Career Education. Plan a timetable using suggested times
below as a guide. Both you and your student must have a say in
this, since the time of both is involved. Your home support guide
has a blank timetable at the back for you to use to plan out your
days. Once a workable timetable has been established, try to follow
it regularly.
| Mathematics (daily) |
50 - 75 minutes |
| English Language Arts (daily) |
60 - 90 minutes |
| Science (every other day) |
60 minutes |
| Social Studies (every other day) |
60 minutes |
| Fine Arts (weekly) |
60 – 90 minutes |
| French (twice per week) |
30 minutes |
| Physical Education/Daily Physical Activity (5 days/week) |
2.5 hours per week or more |
| Health and Career Education (once or twice per week) |

No two students are alike, and one of the advantages of distance
education school is that students may work at their own pace.
