Module 4B:
STAYING HEALTHY
|
Section 1- Discouraging Disease
|

The focus of this section is how the body protects itself
so that its systems stay healthy and strong. You begin by
looking at the skin, then you will look at the body’s
immune system, which protects and defends the body against
invading germs.
Exercise and nutrition are two ways to keep your body
strong and healthy. Lots of exercise and healthy food
choices help strengthen the immune system. You will explore
ways in which you can get moving every day and which food
choices provide the body with the nutrients it needs.
Throughout the section, you will find A Great Scientist
