Workplace Math 10 will teach you the math you will use in a job or in your daily life. This course will be especially useful if you are planning to learn a trade or find a job directly after graduating.  It will not satisfy entrance requirements for universities or colleges.

It is recommended that you have completed Math 9 prior to registering for Workplace Math 10

Course Modules: 

Module 1:  Probability, Graphing, Trigonometry and Measurement - a focus on the big ideas that proportional reasoning is used to make sense of multiplicative relationships and that representing and analyzing data allows us to notice and wonder about relationships.

 

Module 2: Surface Area, Volume, Averages and Finances - a focus on the big ideas that flexibility with number builds meaning, understanding, and confidence and 3D objects can be examined mathematically by measuring directly and indirectly length, surface area, and volume.
