Visual Media Arts will help you develop your creative voice, exploring the artistic and technical skills related to digital photography. You will learn about artists and careers in these fields while expanding your understanding of hardware and software, the elements of good photography, organizing and editing your work, and how to express yourself in authentic ways. By the end of the course you should have a body of work that highlights your skills, ideas and passions.
Textbook: Digital Photography, Michael Wright, 2004 Hylas Publishing. Digital Camera: It is suggested that you provide your own camera, however, a limited number of basic digital cameras are available to students that require them. Digital Editing Software: Free digital editing software available for download or for use directly on the Internet will be used in this course. If you have your own version of Photoshop you are permitted to use it unless specifically directed otherwise.
