This is a great elective course to give students a solid understanding of technology that can be applied both in other courses and outside of the school environment.

This course covers information a beginning piano player needs to know to become familiar with the instrument. C major scale and the relative chords are introduced. All music is notated and can be accessed by video. Basic chord progressions are introduced in C, F, and G major. Elements of musicianship and musical notation are also introduced as the student learns the standard way of reading music. This helps to prepare the musician to be a proficient sight-reader.  The elements of rhythm, harmony, and dynamics are taught in this classroom.  Many details relating to these topics are
demonstrated. This comprehensive course is perfect for learning the fundamentals of playing the piano.  Students successfully completing this course receive 2 Fine Arts 11 B (FNA11B) credits toward graduation.

Work experience 12B is basically a continuation of WEX 12A. Whereas you must complete at least 90 hours of logged hours on the job, and you must complete the in-school component, which consists of a series of advanced safety lessons, assignments and a final quiz.

Please note that all corresponding forms must be completed as well – the forms to refer to are the same forms that were completed for WEX 12A – you only need to complete the appropriate forms as necessary for your placement, and that would depend on whether or not you are in a new placement or continuing with the same placement as WEX12A.
