2019 – 2020 Student Registrations at FVDES

In the 2018/19 school year, FVDES underwent major changes and restructured the programs and services.

FVDES serves the following students:

  • Students residing in Chilliwack – Kindergarten to Grade 12
  • Out of district students who have been full-time with FVDES since 2017/18
  • Chilliwack students (including adults) requesting individual courses at the grade 10 to 12 level

General course and program information for resources, assignments and tests:

  • Any resources required for the programs and courses are picked up at FVDES
  • Completed work for online courses is submitted online
  • For elementary grades, work that is not completed online can be dropped off at the school
  • Testing for Grades 8 to 12 is done at FVDES, or by a proctor only

Registrations for 2019 - 2020

Kindergarten to Grade 9

The Kindergarten to Grade 9 programs are full-time and run between September 2019 and June 2020. Please refer to the Programs for information about:

Grade 10 Courses

Students can register throughout the year for Grade 10 courses, and run all 12 months.

Grade 11 and 12 Courses:

All current Grade 11 and 12 courses must be completed by June 3/19. Information regarding the new Grade 11 and 12 level courses will be available in August 2019. The Ministry of Education is implementing new curriculum and courses for these grade levels.

BC Government's Measles Immunization Catch-Up Program for School Aged Children from April to June 2019 - April 2nd 2019

The Province is launching a measles immunization catch-up program to help BC families ensure their children are protected from measles. The program will run from April through June 2019. Please see the Measles Campaign Letter to Parents from Fraser Health on the District Website.

Grade 9 Student Immunizations

The Fraser Health Authority has an immunization program for Grade 9 students.

NEW Graduation Numeracy Assessment

All students graduating on the 2018 Graduation Program must take the Numeracy Assessment. Please refer to the Ministry of Education brochure: Graduation Numeracy Assessment – Information for Parents and Students May 2018.
